LD4

(I know this is out of order, but had to repost to put up some more pics!)

Day 4: Went to buy last minute "Chicago" tickets in the morning as you can get good deals and according to Fang - "people will throw things at you if you don't see a show in London". then headed off to the
Tower of London. The Tower's primary function was a fortress, a royal palace and a prison. It has also served as a place of execution and torture, an armoury, a treasury, a zoo, a mint, a public records office, an observatory, and since 1303, the home of the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom (blang blang!)

I found it odd however that there were so many ravens around, then found out they live there as Charles II believed the superstition that if the
ravens were ever to leave, the entire kingdom would fall. There are currently eight ravens, whose wings are now clipped to prevent them from flying away, and they are cared for by the Ravenmaster.

After met up with Fang at her place, then in the torrential wind and rain WALKED to Tate Modern for some contemporary art, had fish and chips on the way at a local pub, and then back to city centre watch Chicago. Show was good but seats not so much. Oh well a busy and tiring day!
