it's moving up on the list

Today was the first time I went to work on a weekend. Someone from another team had requested if I could do some research for them and since the task sounded interesting I thought why not. And maybe I could score some more days off hee hee.

My neck right now hurts a little from last night. aiesec Amsterdam had it's reception weekend and the party went from 1pm to 4am. I'll post pics (later of course) but man, techno music at the wee bits in the morning takes a toll on your muscles.

Anyways, heading home from work today, as I rode my bike through the streets of Amsterdamthe sun was setting on a clear sky; it was then it started hit home how great this city is becoming. When the sun has a chance to break through the clouds and hits the city, it's like vancouver where it comes alive. Sundays it's very chill here as most things are closed so people are out and about running, cycling and walking all over. It's already half way through my internship and I can feel how bummed I will be when I leave this place. Just the things at the top of my head I will miss:

1. being able to ride your bike almost anywhere and everywhere, and like what Mandy said yesterday, bikes have the right of way every way!

2. buying groceries every 2-3 days since it's only a one minute bike ride, or 5 minute walk away.

3. that there is bound to be a party somewhere that you can join, or you can just chill at somebody's house

4. having the ability to hop to surrounding countries for a weekend or even a day trip.

5. staring out the window on the trains as it streams through the cities and the country sides.

6. hearing a bajillion languages in one party, yet everyone still has a good time

7. having everyone dance tanuk tanuk despite that they are from all over the world.

is it love? hmm not yet - but maybe one day.
