Nice Day 2 (eze and monaco thrown in)

The second day started off getting some great pastries for breakfast at this local bake stand/shop that was sort of in the middle of the road. We then walked to the Russian Cathedral after:
Second day starts off with the Russian Cathedral and Museums since admission happened to be free that day! (First Sunday of every month).
We decided to hit two museums that were close by (well three actually, but Matisse was closed).

Musee de Marc Chagall
Matisse: was closed, lame.
Musee D'archeologie : I can't believe they just let
people prance right into the ruins. oh well, decided to do some yoga shots. After the museums, we walked back to the hostel, rested, and then decided to head west and bought day return tickets to Monaco with a stop in the town of Eze along the way.

Now we didn't know that eze was high up on the mountain and required a hike, and we (well I did at least) thought this was the only way if you didn't have a car, haha how stupid. but we were troopers!
that's what happens when you put a nike employee and a former lulu educator together. The hike was great! but got hot fast. What was surprising was the amount of seniors doing the hike since the hill was quite steep and there were looks rocks everywhere to which you would easily sprain your ankle!
by the time we got in we were all sweaty and we ended up walking through an outdoor cafe and people started at the ugly topless Chinese man hee hee. The village was AMAZING. the tall close walls with the shops embedded inside were very cool. After a little bit of a crepe and coffee break, we headed up to an exotic garden at the top (a gift to a former prince) of the castle in eze and gave amazing views. I'm sure we could've stayed longer, but we wanted to get back before the sun goes down before the hike down.
By about 8pm, we headed back into Monaco to check out the casino and then we TRIED to find a place to eat, but most were sit down expensive restaurants so naturally we headed back into nice and had some VIETNAMESE food!
Oh my god, even though it was "fast food" it was AMAZING.

by this time it was about 10 - 11pm and thus we headed back to crash in the hostel.
