This weekend I learned that my most senior / oldest aunt on my mom's side passed from lung and bone cancer on Saturday. When you're away from home, as my mom said, news like this has an even bigger impact, and it does. All I think about is family now these days.
My greatest memory of my aunt; well besides the lingering scent of "quey fong you" that marked she was here, i remember they were there with my most memorable experience in Hong Kong, letting me play on the steps of Leung Fai Toi and taking me to the Seven-Eleven for some snacks.
Dai Yee Mah - we will miss you dearly. Say hi to Grandpa for me...
