Vids and pics from Queens day: overall impression, i think it's too hyped up... well I guess for me it was since people have been talking about it since December. Yes, the whole city goes crazy and yes it is one HUGE flea market, and yes everyone's in orange, but all around... it's not Amsterdam - but I guess it did feel like the Stampede all over again... just with very drunken Dutch people. I for some reason wasn't in the mood... maybe it's all of the techno that they play from 7am to 2am today. Nevertheless it was cool to see...
Erica setup her operation since 7am, she's got a strong business presence in her...
Erica packs up after making about 50 eurs... though she mentions that SHE feels she's been ripped off...
walked around and spent about 3 euros on stuff I don't need and maybe 10 Eur on good good food. I even bought myself a paul frank "what aboot it" canadian t-shirt for 1 eur! sweet.
tried to get a Canada flag on the other side.. but eventually the maple leaf ended up looking like a red circle with a line.
yup , they get suckered in by the marketing.. but did taste good nevertheless
Stayed by at a canal side cafe at Singel for an hour or two.. I think I passed out a few times after my beers and kept bumpin my head against the rail a few times... I think the dutch girl beside me kept looking at me as though I was crazy...
