Two people I was hosting from London Elin and Haithem) joined as well and it was nice to get to know more people! Yes I accidentally spelled their names wrong in the pics.. I'll fix later)

lou from the boatwe arrived early on Saturday to beat the crowds and boy did we ever.. when we arrived about 90% of the people were over 60... it was the first time in a while where I actually felt young at a party. There was a discount for admission for seniors... but there should've been one for youth cause we were definitely the minority.

flowers
flowers
flowers and grass
flowers and bushes
red and white flowers

look at where we are and how much more there is to walk... good god more flowers

middle of the day, when I came out of the windmill all of a sudden David from Montreal was there! He was with the Maastricht kids and it just so happens they decided to train it up from their fair city on the same day as us. However, they planned much better than we did and had an actual pic nic set up.
After about 4 hours or so of looking at flowers... we gave into the sun and the heat and we just lay there for about an hour or so.
This is where I ran out of memory (actually it sort of a good thing as I was already going through too any pictures of flowers (ps mom: they had a building ptractically filled with every kind of orchid that is out there... I sure you and dad would've liked)). .. all in all.. I think it would've been better to actually go into the fields beside Keukenhof.. and we could have but we were tired (that and we were already on teh bus back to Schipol and when the bus drove by the fields, everyone looked out the windows and had taht expression like they missed out on something big... haha and all us tourists probably did ... and the good thing about the fields is that you can do it for free!!... Ao is keukenhof worth it? i don't think so.. a little steep in cash to look at flowers... but they do have all the bloomers here.. So if flowers are your thing then you should go see it ... but the keukenhof is prolly steep in price too because the park is only open for about 1.5 months of the year but which also means TONS of tourists... it got a little ridiculous by about 12pm.
info from Wiki about Netherlands economy:
A highly mechanised agricultural sector employs no more than 4% of the labour force but provides large surpluses for the food-processing industry and for exports. The Dutch rank third worldwide in value of agricultural exports, behind the United States and France, with exports earning $55 billion annually. A significant portion of Dutch agricultural exports are derived from fresh-cut plants, flowers, and bulbs, with the Netherlands exporting two-thirds of the world's total. The Netherlands also exports a quarter of all world tomatoes, and one-third of the world's exports of peppers and cucumbers.[4] The Netherlands' location gives it prime access to markets in the UK and Germany, with the port of Rotterdam being the largest port in Europe.
