Day three was CANADA DAY! and consisted of Markus taking us for a tour in the hot hot sun to the Bavarian Hall of Fame and the field where they hold the oktoberfest
and then took the U-Bahn near the University and hit a yuppie area to have lunch outside.

Markus then dropped us off at the Englischer Garten as he had to head to work for a few hours which contains Germany's second largest Beer Garden. The park itself is LARGER than New York's central park but smaller than Dublin's Phoenix Park.
I looovvve the drinking culture... outdoors, no fighting for chairs, gigantic beers at decent prices.
Sam is right, it is one of the best tasting beers out there.
After we met back up with Markus and headed back to the centre on foot.

We also had the chance to check out the famous brewery Hofbräuhaus which is also tourist central and is the "liquid" symbol of Munich.

Then headed back to Markus' place where he insisted on cooking us pasta German / Italian stylz.
Later in the night we met up with his old friend for some drinks.

The night ended off with us catching our train at 10 pm which we thought was at 8pm with thundershowers just rolling in.
The freakiest thing happened at the end of the trip were right as I get on to the U-Bahn to get to central station, some hobo sticks his arm through the door and grabs my forearm. Markus thought we wanted to take my stuff, but then he let go as the doors closed and then held up some big red sign in the shape of a circle and placed it against the window and stared at me; some tourist on the train then said "I think he just cursed you"... it was a little traumatizing.
other than that I have to thank my buddy Markus and my travel buddy Olinda for making my first exposure to Germany unforgettable!!!! Prost! and Fehr Danke for readin'!
