And the SMARTEST Question ever asked was: "Why not?..."

Today, during Business Day, one of the speakers reinforced something that has been forgotten by most people today. We constantly find ourselves chasing dreams that never really were dreams in the first place. Back when we were kids was a time with unlimited ambitions, no limitations, restrictions or hesitation and EVERYTHING and ANYTHING was POSSIBLE. Kids I find are the most powerful role models. I recently discovered the power of having children around because they have such amazing energy with pure emotions free from staging and deceit. If everyone thought and pursued dreams like kids with the resources they have accessible to them today, the world would be filled with people that would be much happier fulfilling their life's true calling. I don't ever recall myself saying "when I grow up I want to work 8 hours a day for somebody at a job I don't truly enjoy and watch the clock for my coffee, lunch and end-of-the-day breaks."

So take some time today, some true time for yourself to relfect and think back when you were about five or six years old and at least do that something when you said "when I'm a grown up I'm gonna...." cause the possibilities are endless and there's nothing stopping you.

The other day, I also learned that 30% of the time, misdiagnosis occurs when you see a doctor. So you could be treated for one thing when in fact you could have something completely different. Isn't that nice? The only time that they find out what was truly wrong is when they do an autopsy. Fantastic.

Well, I think officially every business class that I am in has mentioned Enron and the big Fu*k up that it did. Yes I get the point now... and before I thought the big deal was Martha Stewart. nope... Even have an entire course on Corporate Governance and the very first thing they show is Enron. I guess when I become CEO one day I can't make myself rich beyond my dream at the expense of shareholders. Ha ha .. just kidding. Thank God they don't talk about Enron in Medical Science.. I think I would scream.

Mmmm... Smoking

What did I learn today? Tobacco companys include FIBREGLASS in tobacco chew to cut up your lips so the drug will enter your bloodstrem directly and increase the addictiveness of nicotene. Mmm... yumm.

It is National Non-Smoking Week Next Week (Jan 17-21) so the Smoke - Free U of C Club and W.H.A.T (Wellness and Health Awareness Team) are bringing awareness on the harmful affects of tobacco (smoking and chew) and ways to implement a smoking cessation program and other ways to de-stress. We will have speakers from all over the community as well as other student bodies on campus to inform. Each day next week will have a different theme and come by to sign up if you support our cause. It's FREE to be a member and you can participate as little or as much as you want. 4 prize packages will be up for draw which will include various items such as yoga passes, movie passes, CD goft certificates, t -shirt, water bottles, and gift certificates to non smoking establishments (restaurants and bars). Come out and check out the displays!
